The navigation features in the Sight Machine platform have been redesigned and updated to help you better organize and locate dashboards, analytics, and data tables.

Top Navigation

The top navigation has been updated to allow you to search for and access favorites. To search, select the search bar and type the name of your dashboard, data table, or analytic.

Favorites

You can now mark dashboards, analytics, and saved data tables as favorites so you can quickly access the applications that you use the most. Applications marked as favorites appear in a dedicated pane within the top navigation menus. You can use them as filters within each of the landing pages.

For example, visit any dashboard and click the star icon to Add to favorites.

You can quickly access that dashboard on the Dashboards menu.

You can also mark dashboards as favorites on the All Dashboards page. The My Favorites filter is available at the top of the page.

Dashboard Labels

To help you better organize your dashboards and data tables, you can use the new labels feature to search for or filter on the All Dashboards and All Data Tables pages.

For example, to create a label for a dashboard that you created, click the Options menu when viewing the dashboard. A new selection is available called Manage Labels.

Click Manage Labels to do the following:

  • Apply already created labels to your dashboard.
  • Create new labels.

Landing Pages

The Sight Machine landing pages have been redesigned with improved functionality for search and organization.

Dashboards and Data Tables

The landing pages for Dashboards and Data Tables now include filters at the top for My Favorites, My Created, and labels.

Analysis

The Analysis landing page has an improved look and feel with added analysis categories, analytic images, and analytic descriptions to help you know when a particular analytic is best suited for the analysis that you need to conduct.

Raw Data Tools

With the new top navigation, the location of raw data tools has changed and the Raw Data tab has been removed. Changes include the following:

  • Raw Data Monitoring and Raw Data Visualization are now available on the Analysis tab.
  • Raw Data Table has been incorporated into the Data Table, with Raw Data as a new model for selection.

Data Table: Raw Data

You can now use the Data Table to access the Raw Data model with all of the features that the Data Table offers.

Mobile Experience

Sight Machine has gone mobile! You can now use your mobile device to view and interact with the contextualized data that is contained in the dashboards.

To access the mobile experience, navigate to the Sight Machine URL in your mobile device’s web browser. After logging in, you are redirected to Sight Machine Mobile, where you can search for and access existing dashboards.

To view a dashboard, tap the dashboard card in the list. You can view all of the widgets that are configured within that dashboard.

To further explore the details of a widget, tap the widget card. You can use touch interactions to zoom, view exact data point values, and toggle on and off legends as well as traces.

Application Shortcut

To more easily access the Sight Machine Mobile experience on your mobile device, you can save the application as a shortcut on your home screen. For example:

  • In Chrome:
    1. Navigate to the home page of Sight Machine Mobile.
    2. In the upper-right corner of the web browser, tap the Menu icon.
    3. Tap Add to homescreen.
