    Article summary

In this article, we will guide you through the process of viewing, modifying, and creating new connections in Sight Machine.

    Overview

After selecting a device, you will see each of its connections, along with additional information such as the status and type.

    Modifying a Connection

To modify any of these connections, click on the one you wish to alter. In this example, we will be examining the S3 connection.

After selecting the connection, review the provided information to ensure its accuracy and test the connection to verify it has been configured correctly. The connection test only takes a few seconds and can aid in the configuration process.

    Creating a New Connection

Creating and testing a new connection is simple.  Start by selecting "New Connection".

You'll see a list of available connectors. If you do not find your connector in the list, do not worry. We can usually develop a new connector within two weeks and we are constantly expanding our library. For this demonstration, we will create a new local file connection.

Start the process by naming your connection.

Then enter all of the required fields, as indicated by the * next to the field

Test the connection to ensure the configuration is valid. After verifying the connection status, proceed to save the connection.
