Enable Control Plane

Control Plane is enabled through the Feature Toggle settings page. Only Sight Machine administrators can toggle features.

  1. Navigate to Settings from the main navigation menu.

  1. Select Feature Toggle from the settings sidebar.

  1. Select the Data Foundation tab.

  1. Locate Control Plane in the feature list and select the toggle to enable it.

Once enabled:

  • A Control Plane tab appears in the workspace sidebar navigation for all new workspaces

  • Existing workspaces are not affected — they continue to operate exactly as before (see Existing Workspaces and Migration below)

  • Only workspaces created after enabling the toggle will have Control Plane active

⚠️Warning: Enabling the Control Plane feature toggle does not change the behavior of any existing workspaces. It only applies to workspaces created after the toggle is turned on.
