The Loss Tree application in OPERATE delivers a comprehensive analysis of equipment losses by aggregating critical metrics, including total stop counts, cumulative downtime, and total uptime. Additionally, equipment performance indicators, such as Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), are provided to support data-driven decision-making during daily shift and line team meetings.
Top Losses and Drill Down
Selecting a specific machine from the navigation menu grants access to a comprehensive list of all equipment downtime and availability loss categories. By default, data is presented for the Current Production Day.
Loss information consists of the following detail:
Equipment Availability Summary: Aggregated metrics for Scheduled Time, Downtime, Uptime, Number of Stops, and MTBF.
Loss Categorization: Granular details including Loss Type, Failure Mode, and Failure Mode Cause. This structure facilitates an immediate overview of the primary failure modes and underlying causes affecting the selected equipment.

Synchronization with Downtimes
The Loss Tree offers a dynamic perspective of equipment losses, fully synchronized with the Downtime application. As operators and line team members document downtime and provide additional context, the Loss Tree updates within minutes to reflect the most accurate data. This real-time identification of primary losses facilitates data-driven daily actions and ensures resources are allocated to the most critical issues.
