    Article summary

Notepad widgets let you add rich text content and images to dashboards. Most common image types are supported, including .JPG, .JPEG, .PNG, and .GIF.

To add a Notepad widget to a Dashboard, go to Options > Add New Widget, and then select Notepad.

After you add the widget, you can click into it to start adding content. The editing Toolbar appears when you are in the widget. You can use the Toolbar to add the following:

    • Rich text with varying font sizes and formatting
    • Linked content via hyperlinks
    • Images

To hide the Toolbar, click outside the Note, or press the ESC button.

Notepad widgets resize text and images dynamically as the widget is resized. Note that this is only true when the widget sizing is set to Auto Size Text. You can modify the text size mode by clicking the button next to the Font size, and displaying the mode that the widget is currently set to. The default setting is Manually Size Text.

If you want the content to contain text with multiple font sizes, you need to use the Manually Size Text setting. When you use this setting, text content does not resize dynamically (that is, the font size is fixed).

Text formatting is preserved when you switch between Auto-size Text and Manually Size Text.

To add images, on the Toolbar click Add Image.
