The use of wildcard characters in data field name searches is now supported in Manufacturing Applications. Using wildcards, you can perform powerful and precise searches across data field names in the Asset Picker, Filters, Raw Data Tables, and Alerts, as well as global search fields such as Dashboard, Analysis, and Data Table search.

Wildcard search functionality also extends to platform settings such as User Profiles, the Roles and Access filter, and the Feature toggle.

A few common use cases for wildcard searches are shown below:

    Dashboards: Explore in New Tab

Dashboards now provide a way to help you open the Data Visualization analysis in a new tab when you select the Explore in Data Visualization option from the overflow menu. This feature allows you to retain the dashboard view in the original window, while simultaneously viewing the Data Visualization analysis in a separate tab or window.

Text Formatting: Progress Bar and Gauge Chart Types

The Progress Bar and Gauge single-value widgets have a new Text Formatting option that you can use to modify the number of decimal places to display. This option is available through the Content Formatting menu.

Data Latency Alerts: Whole Topic Name

You can now configure Data Latency Alerts in ETL3 environments using the entire topic name instead of only its prefix. While this is more robust, it also means that there are now more options to choose from during configuration. Remember to select the latest version if the topic names contain a version number (for example, environment_name.v2.data_source).
