    Article summary

Visualize KPI metrics and non-KPI data fields for machines of various machine types, on the same chart. This is very helpful when you want to identify trends to see how process parameters and variables, quality metrics, and other data fields relate to KPI trends over time.

    Selecting KPIs and Non-KPIs

To access this functionality, select the Lines data model from the sidebar in the Data Visualization application.

After you select the data model and then select one or more machines in the Asset Picker, you can select KPI and non-KPI data from the Y-Axis picker.

You can visualize all of the data fields that you selected on the same chart.

    Data Field Filters

Filters are currently only supported for non-KPI data fields.

    Aggregate Function

You can aggregate the Y-axis variable as an Average per Cycle, or the Minimum, Maximum, or Total of all Cycles. Click the Aggregate button to add data points on the chart that would display other aggregations. The default setting for all data fields is Average.

For example, you may want to see the total counts of certain variables on the chart, as opposed to their average values over the selected Time Range.

Note: The Aggregate Function does not apply to KPI fields, as they are already aggregated by computing a formula, and are calculated at runtime.

You can also choose an Aggregate option called Proportion, which displays the Y-axis variable in proportion to another data field, which you can select from the interface. The data fields that you selected as the basis for Proportion must be non-KPI data.
